Istanbul to Konya Train Guide
Travelling by YHT
YHT services provide a rail option between Istanbul and Konya. The service belongs to TCDD Taşımacılık’s high-speed network and may call at other major stations along the corridor. The actual stopping pattern depends on the selected train.
Station details matter
Confirm the complete Istanbul departure station rather than searching only by city name. At arrival, confirm whether you selected Konya or Konya (Selçuklu YHT): these are distinct stations. Plan onward transport from the exact station on your ticket.
Before confirming a plan
Current schedules, seat availability, and ticket conditions must be checked through an official channel. TurkeyTrain is an independent booking and travel guide service. Eligible tickets are issued manually after payment; seats are confirmed only when a ticket is issued.
- Compare the station location with your Istanbul address.
- Check whether the chosen train is direct.
- Review the operator’s current boarding instructions.
Konya station names matter
The official sales system may show Selçuklu YHT (Konya) as a destination. Match the full name in the result and on the ticket with your local transfer plan; do not assume every train uses the same building simply because the city is Konya. Plan the onward journey to your hotel or the Mevlana Museum from that exact station.
A visit to Konya is different from an onward trip to Cappadocia. If you continue toward Göreme or another Cappadocia town, arrange the road segment separately and include travel from the railway station to the bus terminal. A direct Istanbul–Konya rail service does not create a direct Istanbul–Göreme train.
